About the Role
A non-technical Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects within a specified timeline and budget. They coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and project delivery. Non-technical Project Managers may not have a deep understanding of the technical aspects of the project but possess strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills. They oversee project milestones, manage resources, mitigate risks, and maintain stakeholder relationships to achieve successful project outcomes. Additionally, they may be involved in project documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement processes.
Job Duties
Review, evaluate and implement new administrative procedures
Delegate work to office support staff
Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
Carry out administrative activities of establishment
Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation
Co-ordinate and plan for office services such as accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security services
Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls
Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence
Perform data entry
Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures
Resolve conflict situations
Monitor and evaluate
Plan and control budget and expenditures
Requirements
Languages: English
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience.
Successful experience in technical sales is required
Experience: 2 years to less than 5 years
Personal Suitability: Accurate, Client focus, Excellent written communication, Initiative, Organized, Excellent oral communication
