About the Role
A Web Developer is responsible for designing, coding, and modifying websites, from layout to function. They create visually appealing and user-friendly web pages, incorporating both technical and creative elements. Web Developers collaborate with cross-functional teams, including graphic designers and project managers, to bring a website's vision to life. They ensure responsiveness and optimal performance of websites across various devices and browsers. Web Developers may work with programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and may have expertise in frameworks and libraries like React or Angular. Continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends are essential for this role.
Job Duties
Consult with clients to develop and document Website requirements
Write, modify, integrate and test software code
Maintain existing computer programs by making modifications as required
Prepare mock-ups and storyboards
Identify and communicate technical problems, processes and solutions
Source, select and organize information for inclusion and design theappearance, layout and flow of the Website
Create and optimize content for Website using a variety of graphics,database, animation and other software
Lead and co-ordinate multidisciplinary teams to develop Website graphics,content, capacity and interactivity
Conduct tests and perform security and quality controls
Plan, design, write, modify, integrate and test Web-site related code
Requirements
Languages: English
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience.
Successful experience in technical sales is required
Experience: 2 years to less than 5 years
Personal Suitability: Accurate, Client focus, Excellent written communication, Initiative, Organized, Excellent oral communication
